Grovio is a Christian habit-building app. Most app data is stored locally on your device, including habits, actions, reminders, progress, journal entries, settings, and Forge conversation state.
Grovio stores your app content on your device using local app storage. This includes habits, tasks, completions, reminders, journal entries, preferences, and progress data.
If you use Forge AI or AI-generated verse features, Grovio sends your message and relevant app context to Grovio’s backend and OpenAI so a response can be generated. This context may include your preferred Forge name, selected focus fruit, habit/action titles, descriptions, scripture, schedules, recent completions, and recent misses.
Grovio does not use Forge AI conversation transcripts for advertising or tracking.
If you enable cloud sync, Grovio uploads an encrypted backup snapshot to Grovio’s backend so your data can sync across devices. Cloud sync snapshots are encrypted before upload. The backend stores the encrypted backup envelope, sync metadata, version information, hash, sync record key, and device label/id metadata.
Manual backup exports are created on your device.
Grovio does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools. Grovio does not track users across apps or websites.
Grovio uses backend services and OpenAI only to provide app functionality, such as AI responses and cloud sync. Grovio does not sell user data.
You can request deletion of Grovio backend data by contacting us at [email protected].
You can delete local app data at any time by deleting the Grovio app from your device. Local habit, journal, reminder, and progress data stored only on your device is removed according to your device operating system’s app deletion behavior.
If you have used cloud sync or AI features, you may request deletion of backend sync records or AI usage data by emailing me with “Data Deletion Request” in the subject line.
